Making Money

Well hello there... again. It has been quite some time since I last wrote anything. Great things continue to happen at Voltage, and I wish my brother Seth well in his work there. Today's blog has nothing to do with Voltage but my own thoughts. Some of my thoughts have decided to leak themselves onto this blog.
Currently I am working at Walmart as a Receiving Associate in Chubbuck, Idaho. Very exciting work, and a nice little workout to get paid for. That's right I am such a professional, that people pay me to flex my muscles. I get paid $8.10 per hour minus what the government takes which is about $100 from each paycheck. Making money isn't what I do there, it's not in the contract. Everyone wants to make money so what am I doing there? Getting fit. However, I would like to make money some day because money is power. Money opens up doors to new and exciting worlds. So I have thought how can I make money and lots of it? How am I going to do that? Well who in this world makes money and how do they do it?
A few key names come to mind such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and two of the Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. How do they make money? They make their money with technology. I love technology I can surely make money in it right? So I am currently working on being a great web designer. In a few years I will be living in the Florida Keys in my 5 million dollar house driving million dollar cars... well only time can tell right? Though it's not impossible, I think I need to have a little better positive mental attitude to accomplish it. So back to my quest of making money. I have considered what I love. I love music, and I have always wanted to teach music and I am still considering it. However all of the rich guys I named are getting their money from technology not teaching music. So what other ways can I make money? There are a few people who have made the big bucks in other venues.
Two of which are great men who I have had the privilege to meet in person, and they are Donald Trump and Glenn Beck. How often do you see those two names in collaboration? Not too much sadly. I admire them both. They both share a wonderful opinion of which I am fond of. They have both in a way said that the way to make money is to not think of the money, but to think of what you can offer to the world. How can you serve others and make that your first priority? If you can do that, you can make money doing it. Well I haven't decided on my answer yet but that has been my top question to answer as of late. How can I serve the world? How can I really help those around me, in a very broad sense? Today I helped clean up at a breakfast that was being served to the community before a church service. It felt great. I helped someone. That is my current goal is to help anyone and everyone I can around me. Hopefully in the near future, my service will align with my ability to support myself and my future family.

    I will keep you posted.
